The WPF, the technology behind the new graphical kernel of Vista (Also available on XP through .NET framework 3.0) is relatively new for our designers team.

They tell it is great and very powerful, they learn every day and continue to improve the user interface and even the user experience that we will reach in the next version of UFO-z.

Just take a look at the very last design of UFO-z, see the evolution...

1. The sign in : allow the connection to the Peer 2 peer UFO-z private network
2. The shares management : allow to select the folders you want to 'share' with your friend
3. The contacts : List the groups and the contacts you have
4. The contacts and their share : you can see the shares and the file you're downloading... plus the progression (More information is displayed through tooltips)
   

Today we have complete the design of the 'Shares' management in the WPF / Vista style version of UFO-z peer 2 peer system. Feel free to add your comments about this design. We are open to any suggestion.

We hope you will like this new design. Soon we expect to show either an interactive video or either directly the executable prototype.

Because we are currently in the Beta Test phase-1 of UFO-z it is still possible that you cannot reach the server. It is because we are working on it and often stopping/restarting it.

 For the Beta Test phase-2 we will not do this anymore because we expect that every user will connect to the UFO-z network for real use of it.

 So, today, it is time to play

To insure the usability of UFO-z we have already start to develop the next version of UFO-z, this version use the new Microsoft Vista application type.
